this 97 model daihatsu is a prime example of japanese smart cars.
it was presiously cared for by 1 elderly lady and only did
5 minute trips all its life.
its run by a 3 cylinder twin cam 12valve, 660cc engine and 5 speed gearbox.
the car weights just 630kgs, so the power to weight
ratio works excellent.
thanks to the small capacity engine and light weight it runs
on fumes, which is great when fuel is $1.50+/litre.
like the original mini, the car is suprisingly spacious for its small size.
it has a 35lt tank, disk brake front, split folding rear seat,
side door impact beams and has galvanised reinforced panels.
it is a quality japanese engineering, not chinese, korean, etc.
it runs/drives great and everything works.
it has been highly maintained since new and always garaged.
the interior is immaculate, the body and paint excellent,
without dents and scratches.
the ash tray and ciggy lighter have never been used.
the bridgestone tyres look new, but may be the original tyres,
because the side walls show age.
it has a tiny oil leak (which I will check out), an almost
unnoticable light dent (passenger side, infront of back wheel),
wear in the carpet at the heal of clutch pedal and
the tint has a few marks in it.
the car has been stored most of the last 12 months.
it has fresh oil, a good battery and is ready to go.
it has 1 month reg, but it will be cancelled as the plates
have been returned.
it is sold as is, but will not need much at all for rwc.
it is a rare to find a car like this,
it still has every book, brochure, poster and even
the original welcome letter from Daihatsu.
